Clovie Relaxes to Pyramid Affair from Cairo Time Soundtrack
Last weekend when Clovis was getting his teeth trimmed, Dr. Heather commented on how calm he was.  She thought it was the music they were playing. And it got me to thinking as we were driving home that the sorrowful notes resonating from Itzhak Perlman's violin on the Schindler's List soundtrack I was playing could have mellowed him out.

My daughter told me about Grooveshark, a website where you can select music and make playlists.  So on weekends now when I sit with Clovie while he has his breakfast, I bring my coffee, paper, and laptop and play the mellow songs from my Grooveshark playlist.

We skip over Muse, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry...

There's a series of recordings call "Through A Dog's Ear" that have been designed and tested and been found to calm dogs. I got the the first CD, it may have calming effect after 10 15 minutes. It's certainly makes me sleepy....I've not heard of Grooveshark, it sounds cool.

You better amp that boy up, if you ask me.

I haven't played much music at home for Mickey. He does seem to mellow out to jazz when he's in the car, but since he usually only goes in the car when he's going to the vet's, it's hard to say for sure.

Clovie seems like such a chill bun to begin with, and he really seems to be digging the Grooveshark! If he likes it, why not?!

I love Pandora. You can make playlists on that too. It only cost me $36.00 a year for endless music. It's wonderful. Sugie and Harrington seem to enjoy my selections.
