Trip to the Vet

Today was our monthly trip to the Country Animal Hospital for Clovie's tooth trim.  I enjoy visiting with Dr. Heather and sometimes her patients can be very entertaining. When we arrived a pygmy house goat named Lily was checking in.  She was on a leash like a dog. Her little hooves made a nice sound on the wood floor. I came close for a picture and she reared up on her hind legs.  I have to say it scared me but her owner said she was just being playful. Okay, if you say so.

Driving out and back I saw how much tree damage our recent winter storm did.  Trees down and broken branches everywhere, much more than I imagined, a reminder that Mother Nature can be very powerful.

When we got home, Clovie scampered out of his carrier and into his condo where he hid as usual, miffed at me for putting him through so much torture.

Awwww, poor Clovie--Mick is going in for his regular molar-grinding on Wednesday, so I'm sure I'll be in for a similar snubbing when that's done.

Lily is just totally cute!! I wonder how you house train a goat?

Poor little Clovie boy. Tooth trimming is icky!

That was a terrible storm ya'll had. Amazing the damage that ice can do to trees.

I hear ya, Clovie, and completely agree. That is very "foot flick" worthy! You look like you made it through okay. Those precious bunny lips are still there! You sweet boy! Goats are wonderful!

Clovie Bar the Door. Nobody gets in without DOUBLE treats.

Baby goats are pretty fun, but I can't blame Clovie for being miffed about the trip to the vet.

We are due for an annual visit, but since our regular vet is on maternity leave, I'm debating whether to try a different (highly qualified, similarly priced) vet, or stick with what's familiar and comfortable.

I am jealous you made friends with a Goat!
