For Dad

I said good-bye to my Dad last week. He was just shy of 90. As we were preparing for his memorial service, my brother found this photo, circa 1948.  It took our breath away. No wonder our Mother fell in love with him.

My Dad was a kind, gentle man.  He wasn't a demonstrative person; he showed his love through his actions, things he did with us and for us.  And in that manner I felt very loved.

Thank you, Dad. I will miss you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. That is a great photo; almost looks like an ad picture (your dad was definitely a handsome man). You and your family are in thoughts and prayers *hugs*

Oh Sue,

Thanks for posting this photo. How wonderful it was to see so many family photos. Your Dad always seemed ten feet tall to me (even when I finally got taller!)

A bigger heart there never was.
