Offended

Clovis likes to be petted but only on his terms. When he's ready he'll flatten himself like a pancake and shut his little eyes. When he's had enough he runs off and gives himself a bath. Our cat bathes after I pet her too.

I'm a little offended. I keep my hands pretty clean...

Must be people cooties--Mick will shake himself first, then go off and give himself a quick lick to get any that didn't get thrown off.

Nah its not that its because we ruffle the up in the wrong direct and it makes the buns feel tickle so the have a dig and a scratch and a lick to get the fur back in the right place cats are the same...actually I think its the same with all furry animals

They are just putting the finishing touches on what you started. I have noticed that if my buns are going from not feeling well to feeling well the first thing they do is groom. In bonding it is a good sign when they groom, they are feeling comfortable. Petting stimulates the circulation, grooming smooths the Qi.

They just basically hate me ...

RG, they do not!

If I take Cooper in to watch TV with me and bring him back, he runs over to Ding (his bunwife) and buries his head under her and she cleans all the hoomin smell off him. It is rather insulting if ya think too much on it..

Clovie's fur is so perfect! He is just gorgeous! I'm sure he just doesn't like a hair out of place!

I love this view of Clovie, he has the coolest markings. Even if he is giving you the cold shoulder. ha ha

I get exactly the same from my Yeti-bun, I only pet him when he "allows" although when he does "allow", he flattens out and his teeth chatter in delight!
