Thanks everyone for your comments. It really helps. Clovie is doing better but I think I still need to cut back more on the fresh veges and fruits. He does NOT like me to pick him up and especially turn him over to look at his bum and the bottom of his feet so I haven't checked lately. But I think he is pretty clean. So is his bedding, rugs, and carpet in his room which is a good indicator.

this is good news!
Yay for cleaner bunny butt!
Mickey HATES being put on his back for anything, but will tolerate it sometimes for brief periods (mainly because he knows that putting up a fight gets him nowhere). I have found that it helps to channel the mom (or nurse, if you have never been a mom) in oneself and approach it with the attitude of "you may not like this, but it is for your own good, so you will have to deal with it".
We don't give much fruit at all - dried or fresh. About an inch of banana in the morning and a little cube - maybe 1" on a side max - in the evening.
Glad he is doing better! :)
xx, shell
So glad to hear the diet seems to be helping Clovie. Yes, I've heard excess greens can lead to "poopie-butt" (my friend from the rescue always calls it that), but even more so is fruit the danger from what I understand. We've only recently introduced regular fruit pieces, but I sometimes wish I hadn't.
